There are a very wide range of conditions that physiotherapy can be worth having. This can include:
- Most musculoskeletal conditions
- Some respiratory conditions
- Several neurological conditions
- Sports injuries
- Balance problems
- Post surgery rehabilitation
There are some conditions that are within these areas that may not be appropriate for physiotherapy, this usually will not be known until the initial assessment is carried out. Also, it is a great idea to provide as much information as possible prior to attending the appointment.
To make the most of your treatment you must communicate what it is that you want to achieve from the sessions, and understand what your physio believes is attainable. These are not always the same!
We will never push people into signing up to treatment plans if either the physio, or you, do not believe it is worth it.
