If your exercises cause a small amount of discomfort it is safe to continue, however if your exercises are causing an increase in pain firstly try decreasing the frequency or numbers you are doing. If still causing pain contact your physiotherapist for further guidance about modifying your exercises.
If your exercises cause nerve symptoms (pins and needles, tingling, numbness or shooting pains) stop immediately, modify the exercise as advised by your physiotherapist or contact them for further advice if you are still experiencing these symptoms.
